Essential storage keeps the service working. Remembering your language and measuring website use with Google Analytics are separate, optional choices. No advertising trackers.
Cookies, local storage and IndexedDB can save information in your browser. We ask separately before saving optional language preferences or loading Google Analytics. Both are off until you agree. Rejecting them does not prevent you from using Carerio or selecting a language for the current page session.
Accept and reject are equally available. Your choice lasts for 180 days on this browser, unless you clear it sooner. We ask again if the choice expires or the purposes change. Withdrawing a permission removes the associated optional storage. Withdrawing analytics also reloads the page to stop the loaded tracker; it does not sign you out or delete your account. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not erase data already received by Google.
career.storage-consent records the notice version, your language and analytics choices and their date in local storage for 180 days. It is not a tracking identifier. With your permission, local storage keys career.locale, career_copilot_ui_lang and career_copilot_resource_lang remember your site, app and generated-content languages. They are used only while your 180-day preference consent is valid and are removed when you reject or withdraw consent, or when we next detect expiry.
Without permission, a language selection stays in page memory rather than persistent device storage. Language preferences you explicitly save to your signed-in account are separate account settings, covered by our privacy notice.
Google sign-in and Stripe-hosted checkout or billing pages use their own necessary authentication, payment and fraud-prevention technologies when you open them. Their notices apply on their sites: Google and Stripe. We do not embed advertising trackers in Carerio.
You can also remove or block site data in your browser. Blocking essential storage may stop sign-in or other features working. If saving is blocked, your consent choice works for the current visit but may be requested again on reload.
With analytics consent, Google Analytics measures public-page visits, traffic sources, selected signup and pricing links, and completed account creation. It uses carerio_ga and carerio_ga_* first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days. Consent expiry or withdrawal removes these cookies when detected on the site.
Google receives technical information such as browser/device information, timestamps and network information needed to receive requests. We send only fixed public-page labels, referral origins and approved campaign labels, not URL query strings, form contents, account identifiers, CVs, job records or interview answers. We do not measure private workspace page views. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. Analytics does not load before consent, and we do not send cookieless analytics pings when you reject.
Analytics processing may take place outside the UK or EU. See our privacy notice, Google privacy policy and Google data processing terms.
